Crates of tidily arranged citrus fruits on the back of a van, a street seller and the monotonous singsong of the driver, are familiar sounds in the theatrical backdrop of this unusual night-time tour on the outskirts of Ravenna. A fixed monocular transmits the constant, static image of the back of the vehicle backed by the moving backdrop of the never-changing landscape, these are the typical features of this kind of road-movie: the bartering and the spontaneity of the dialogues seem to offer us a slice of daily life. In reality, the repetitive style removes this distinctly, becoming a sort of abstract concept, far away from any social elements or implications.
