“amtmannsstigur5”, 5’13”,
1999
Amtmannsstigur 5 was once my home.
This is portrait of myself in the skin of transvestite.
In the foreground I expose myself to the camera and
in the background an invisible voice sings a popular
tune
from my childhood.
I am the cameramen as well as the subject.
The camera is my mirror which i turn to an audience
I’ve
never seen before.
In this mirror my left side is my real side and the
right side is also the right one.
I am myself right handed.
