  Multi-disciplinary artist Jonah Freeman was born in 1975 and studied Dramatic Writing and Film at New York University. Since 1998 he was been exhibiting video, photo and environmental installations in galleries and museums worldwide. The work has been primarily focused on the slippery premise of urban life. The Franklin Abraham is his first foray into dramaturgical filmmaking and represents a platform for several interconnected bodies of work. He lives and works in New York City.

Recent solo exhibitions include The Franklin Abraham, M Projects, Paris; Andrew Kreps Gallery, NY; Play Gallery, Berlin; The Giving Tree (in collaboration with Michael Phelan), John Connelly Presents, NY, and Sixteen Scenarios, Public Art Fund, Brooklyn Public Library, NY. His work has been shown in the The Version Biennale at Centre Pour L'image Contemporaine(2004), Geneva, Switzerland; Prague Biennale (2003), Prague, Czech Republic; Tirana Biennial (2001), Tirana, Albania; and Greater New York (2000), PS1 Contemporary Art Center, NY.
